That is awesome! One of these would look great in my back yard. Did Stefan include any plans on how to make one? Excellent work!

I want one! What a great way to use a skull. And what a beautiful bird. What kind of bird is that? I'm with tatman, how do we make it?

Very nice variety to the usual ones. The bird is a blue tit "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Tit"

That is the coolest thing I've seen this week! It brings reality to the expression "bird brained."

Thank you! I'm here all week!

LOL. A Blue Tit eh? Is that like the Northern Purple Nurple? Sorry, I couldn't resist. Thanks for the info though Christiane. I'm an avid bird watcher, but I only know the birds of Eastern North America really well. And Kitty, I'm glad you're here "all week." I wish I had of said it. :)

I had similar thoughts about the name as you, couchgirl13. They are very common in Europe, and there are more kinds in the Tit-family. I'm sorry, you don't have them in the USA. It would be interesting to see the reaction, if you tell somebody : "look at this Great Tits in our neighbours garden!"

In german, the bird is called Blaumeise. Meise is the Family, and you ask if someone "has a Meise" (in his head), if he behaves in a strange/crazy/silly way. If someone always forgets things, he has the brain of a sparrow though.
